Sleep & Rest Affirmations

I hand the day back and keep only the rest.

Tomorrow will have enough time for tomorrow’s things.

Tonight the dark is soft, like a blanket and not a wall.

One by one, I trade my thoughts for breaths.

I let the night do its quiet work in me.

While I rest, I am being repaired.

I lay the day down like a coat by the door.

Nothing tonight needs fixing; only resting.

The unfinished can wait safely until light.

I am not on call tonight; the world can hold itself.

I sink a little deeper with every slow exhale.

I let the day finish itself without me tonight.
